About the Harriet Collective
Harriet Collective is a standing committee of the LHCS Site Council, formed in May 2025 after reports of racial harm to students of color at both campuses, on the bus, and in the community.
We work in two directions. With students, we promote ally-ship: knowing how to speak up for a classmate, and for yourself. With families, we provide resources for having conversations about race at home; the hard ones, the uncomfortable ones, the necessary ones.
We're working toward a school where every hallway, classroom, and gathering reflects the strength and diversity of the people in it, and every student feels safe to be themselves, speak up, and thrive.
Join us in pursuing and valuing racial diversity at LHCS.
